CUBiDA offers a diverse range of training opportunities, catering to all skill levels from beginner to advanced.

Our workshops are designed to equip researchers with knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective data management, analysis, and interpretation. Unless otherwise stated, all workshops are held in our dedicated IT training roomon-site, where computers and necessary software are supplied for all participants,and in English.

Mandatory Workshop: Basic Bioinformatics Skills

Participation in all CUBiDA workshops (excluding "Basic Bioinformatics Skills") requires prior completion of the "Basic Bioinformatics Skills" workshop, or the ability to demonstrate equivalent foundational knowledge. If you have any questions regarding prerequisites, please contact us.

  • Basic Bioinformatics Skills” on 11.11.2026
  • Basic R for Bioinformatics” on 12.11.2026

  • “(bulk) RNA-Seq Data Analysis” on 25.11 and 25.11.2026

Registration

Registration for CUBiDA workshops is limited to a maximum of 15 participants and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration window opens approximately eight weeks prior to the workshop date and closes strictly two weeks before the event. If capacity is reached, participants will be placed on a waiting list and notified if a spot becomes available.

Please, note that registration is binding and you must provide your funding source at the moment of registration. If unforeseen circumstances require you to cancel, please notify us via email before the beginning of the workshop. While we review cancellations based on special circumstances, timely notification is essential out of consideration for colleagues on the waiting list who may then take your place.

Participants from outside the UKER/FAU are warmly welcome to register!

All workshops require a minimum of 5 participants to proceed. If the minimum number is not met, the workshop may be rescheduled or canceled.

Fees

The participation fee per person is:

  • €300 for two-day workshops.
  • €150 for one-day workshops.

     

Participants associated with the Interdisziplinäre Zentrum für Klinische Forschung (IZKF) or Life@FAU seeking cost coverage must apply for it in advance. Applications for cost coverage submitted after registration cannot be approved. For questions, please contact: izkf-nachwuchsfoerderung(at)fau.de.
